Hello my Lovelies, hope you all are doing extremely well !! 🙂

This lockdown has got everyone to do a lot of DIY’s and one such DIY which I’ve been trying to get my hands on for a while now is of the Natural Toner !!

I have the habit of always checking the ‘ingredients’ section on my beauty products and then looking them up on the internet for it’s benefits to my skin – This one habit I feel we all should inculcate. It is very important to be informed !!

Do read it till the end – Benefits, Prep of Different Toners & Application – will cover them all !!

Let’s dive in – What is a Face Toner ??

Facial toner doesn’t act as an alternative to any of your skin care regime, in fact it is a credible addition to your routine !!

It is meant to be used after washing your face & before your Serum & Moisturizer.

I have always stressed enough on how important it is to prep your skin before any kind of application and one such way to do that is a Facial Toner.

Facial toner helps get rid of any leftover dirt or oil on your face after you wash it, giving a clean clear canvas for your following Make-up routine.

However, Toners are not specifically used only before Make up application, people of any age and gender can make use of this.

You can either use cotton pads or your palms to nicely apply the toner or even spray it like a Mist to your Face & Neck !!

Preparing the Toners :

  1. Aloe Vera & Rose Water :

Both these ingredients are my forever favourite and so is this toner. This toner works well for all skin types especially the Sensitive ones. Both of these ingredients are very hydrating and beneficial for your skin.

– 3 tbsp Aloe Vera

– 3 tbsp Rose Water

Mix together and apply on clean, dry skin.

2. Green tea & Tea tree essential Oil :

This toner is all about bringing the best of Tea to use. Green tea is very rich in antioxidants and is also anti – inflammatory.

– 1/2 cup Green tea (cooled)

– 3 drops of Tea tree essential Oil

Mix together and spray post Cleansing !!

3. Cucumber & Curd :

This is the most cooling and refreshing Toner. It can help hydrate your skin, take away its redness and reduce swelling. Curd is also believed to have anti-aging properties.

– 2 slices of Cucumber

-3 tbsp Unflavored sour Curd (beat well)

Dab the slice of Cucumber into the Curd and apply on one side of your Face, repeat the same on the other side with the other Slice. Wait for 10 mins and wash off with Lukewarm water.

So these are the Natural Toners that work really well for almost all skin types. I am more hooked to the Aloe vera/Rose water Toner mainly because I’m of a Combination skin tone, this particular toner balances my dryness & oil together !!

Give them a try, definitely worth it & super easy to make !!
