The whole idea of Nani Ji Ke Nuske is to bring some hacks which are super cheap and yet very effective. Today is about hair care. Hair is one of the most crucial parts of everyone’s life. With the excessive use of chemical products and constant styling, hair fall has become part and parcel of life. While oiling is one of the most effective ways to get rid of it, here are some tips my granny used to give throughout my school life. I won’t ask you to stop using hair products and hair tools because I make use of them too, but bringing these three items in your hair care regime will change your entire hair game!

Yogurt!
Benefits:
Yogurt is full of protein that offers nourishment to your hair, vital for its proper growth and health. It contains lactic acid that is great for deep cleansing the scalp and clearing away the dead skin cells to help your hair grow properly. It also consists of probiotic bacteria that promotes hair density giving you lustrous and shiny thick hair.
Usage:
Take yogurt and apply it from your roots to the length of your hair. Make sure your hair is dry. Cover it with a shower cap and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wash it off with regular shampoo.
Onion Juice!
Benefits
Onion juice provides extra sulphur to your hair and scalp to support strong and thick hair, thus preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth. This sulphur also promotes collagen protection, which helps the production of healthy skin cells and hair growth.
Usage
Take a small onion, cut it into small pieces and grind. Filter the juice. Use a cotton pad to massage this juice on your scalp. You can also add 2 tsp of lemon juice for added benefits. Let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes, as per preference and rinse it off using a mild shampoo.
Egg!
Benefits
Eggs are a nutrient-rich hair superfood. Egg yolk is considered to be very useful in moisturizing your hair. Vitamins A and E, biotin, and folate are some of the nutrients found in eggs that help keep hair thick and healthy. The proteins in the egg soften the hair and also give it a shine.
Usage
Mix 2 eggs with 2 tsp lemon juice. Lemon juice helps curb the egg smell. You can also add honey or milk as they too have moisturizing properties. Beat the mixture until it’s frothy. Apply this to your scalp and hair. Cover it with a shower cap and let it sit for 30 minutes. Wash it off with cold water and regular shampoo.
Worried about the smell? I’ve got you a solution!

All three items have excellent benefits for your hair but they do leave a smell behind. One of the best ways to get rid of this smell is to take 2 tsp of lemon juice with 1 cup of warm water. Mix it well and pour this mixture on your scalp and hair post hair wash. Rinse it again with cold water after 5 minutes. Lemon is anti-microbial that leaves a fresh citrusy smell on your scalp.
You can either stick to one procedure or make use of all three at regular intervals. Applying these ingredients once a week will give better results. Try it, and do come back to let me know how was your experience in the comments below!
